Defenders of Yazid ?Just Contemplate

‘Syed Hafeez Hussaini’, May Allah forgive him for his follies, has turned bitterer. Earlier, he used to call me as Kafir but today he dubbed me as Dajjal. My only fault is opposition of Yazid. Mr. Hafeez considers him as legitimate Caliph and feels that scholars and historians spread poison against him at the instance of followers of Ahle-Bait. When I wondered how he could praise Yazid despite being a Syed and Hussaini, he replied that he was a Chishti but no longer believe in Sufi rituals as they are nothing but Dhakosla.(Drama).He also failed to furnish his Shijra(Family tree)and pleaded that he did not believe even in family genealogy. Finding him obsessed with issuing fatwa regarding anyone, I also asked him to issue fatwa about Holy Prophet and his progeny in view of the contradiction in his replies and his claim to possess extra-ordinary knowledge about religion. I used word fatwa instead of opinion because religious preachers derive great pleasure in issuing decrees in favor of anyone for a paltry sum and their greed is causing much harm to Islam. My query enraged him because did not want to respond. The reason was his acceptance about Imam Hussain as leader of Muslim and Yazid as legitimate Caliph. When asked how both the things could be possible, he called me Dajjal and kept mum when I wrote back to him the traits of Dajjal that matched with his replies to my queries.
 As the number Yazid’s supporters are growing thanks to Nasibi ideology, I am giving the following examples of Ibn Muawiya and leave the Muslim community to decide whether the support of Yazid is justified.  
Qazii Thana Ullah Panipati ,  a great scholar accepted by all Muslims, quoted about Yazid Quranic ayah 14:28 that states” Hast thou not seen those who gave the grace of Allah in exchange for thanklessness and led their people down to the Abode of Loss. Then in Tafsir he elaborated that  Bani Ummaiya had always rejoiced upon Kufr.However Abu Sufyan, Ameer Muawiya and Umaro bin Aas and others became Muslims. Later Yazid and his companions rejected the blessings of Allah and rose the flag of enmity towards Ahle Bait and finally brutally martyred Imam Hussain. Yazid even denied the Deen of Muhammad  After martyrdom of Imam , he said “had my predecessors lived they would have seen how I took revenge from the family of Prophet  and Bani Hashim, The couplet which Yazid composed ended with :” I will avenge Ahmed for whatever he did with my predecessors in Badr .He declared alcohol  permissible and said: If liquor is Haram in the Deen of Muhammad  then take it to be permissible according to the deen of Isa Ibn Maryam.(Ref.Tafsir al Mazhari Volume 5, Pages 211-212]
An idea about Yazid can also be formed about the comments of Ibn Kathir who writes in al Bidayah Volume 8 page 1169 "Traditions inform us that Yazeed loved worldly vices, would drink, listen to music, kept the company of boys with no facial hair [civil expression for paedophilia with boys, a form of homosexuality], played drums, kept dogs [civil expression for bestiality], making frogs, bears and monkeys fight. Every morning he used be intoxicated and use to bind monkey with the saddle of a horse and make the horse run".
The Proof of sending Lanat upon Yazid is derived from ayah mentioned by Al-Barzanji  in his Al-Ashaat and Imam Haythami in As-Sawaiq quoting Imam Ahmed .Once  his son Abdullah asked him about cursing  Yazid, and how sending Lanat upon him is mentioned in the book of Allah,. Imam Ahmed  mentioned these verses: “Would ye then, if ye were given the command, work corruption in the land and sever your ties of kinship? Such are the men whom Allah has cursed…(47:22-23), So could there be a greater fitna than the actions committed by Yazid? (Ref:Ruh ul Ma’ani by Imam Al-Alusi, Volume 9 Under Surah Muhammad 22-23].
In Tafseer Ruh al Maani, Alusi stated Yazeed the impure denied the Prophethood of Rasulullah . The treatment that he meted out to the people of Makka, Medina and the family of the Prophet proves that he was a kafir". Once in the gathering of Amir  Umar Bin Abdul Aziz  people talked about Yazid. Someone among the people called Yazid as Ameer Ul Momneen.   Umar replied in anger,'' you call Yazid  as Amir Ul Momneen and then gave order of 20 lashes to the person.(Ref.  Tahzeeb Al'Tahzeeb Vol 1 Page 361].People praising Yazid should thank Allah that they are not living during the regime of Umar bin Abdul Aziz or else they would have also been receiving lashes every day. However, they should refrain themselves from praising Yazid in view of his unholy character. Such action on their part will appease Allah and his Messenger. They should remember that Allah never likes a tyrant. Those who wish to see rejection of holy Quran by Yazid can also refer to the books namely 1.
