Refutation of False Allegation Against Prophet(S)

Despite repeated appeals, there is no let up in the approach of anti-Islam forces. They continue to level malicious allegations on Holy Prophet on social media. These forces are using internet with fake IDs and repeatedly accusing the Prophet of having sex with her dead aunt (Maaz Allah).One Bharat Mahan has been especially aggressive in charging Rasul Allah with necrophilia. His posts are unfortunately gaining popularity and creating doubt among non-Muslims about Messenger of Allah. Hence, the blogger decided to post this article to disprove the allegation in the light of Islamic Jurisprudence. A look at the Islamic theology will reveal that Ibn Hajar Haytami has included necrophilia (sex with a dead body) in his list of sins. Thus, necrophilia is not allowed in Islam. Further, it is considered unlawful to even look at the nakedness of the deceased or touch it. This exhibits the Prophet did not engage in such a deed or else practice of necrophilia would have been allowed in Islam. Slanderers quote a book named ‘Kanza- ul- Amal’. This book contains fabricated and weak narrations and not recognized as an authoritative source.
It was written by Ala al-Din Ali ibn Abd-al-Malik Husam al-Din al-Muttaqi al-Hindi (1472 CE/AH 888 - 1567 CE/AH 975).He was born in Indian town of Burhanpur and his work is devoid of authentic chain of narrations. He compiled traditions more than 8 centuries after the advent of islam.

It was Father Zakaria who made this fallacious claim initially. He states “Muhammad is understood as saying that because he slept with her she has become like a wife to him so she will be considered like a "mother of the believers”.(MA). He deliberately used the word aunt and concealed the truth that she was his foster mother and already had a special status. His words “She has become like a wife to him” also reveal only his deceitfulness. Islamic Law dictates consent be given by BOTH parties in a marriage. How the consent be obtained from a dead person?
Islam does not allow sex with dead people. It is based on the deeds and actions of the Prophet as well as the Quran. Muhammad’s enemies would have mentioned it and used it against him if he did commit such an act. Muhammad’s enemies never accused him of necrophilia. The burial is a community effort. Prophet would not have been alone at the grave side. Thus it would be absurd to suggest somebody had sex with a deceased woman whilst everybody sat and watched. The body of the deceased is meant to be handled with care so much so that a bone of the body must not be broken.
The truth is that when the grave was prepared the Prophet himself examined it and placed her into the grave. Thus, she became among the few people whose grave was examined by Muhammad(S)”. Examination of a grave does involve lying down in a grave but does NOT involve sex. The process of examining the grave takes place prior to lowering the dead body into the grave. Therefore, Muhammad(S) would have reclined (lied) in the grave to check the grave before his foster mother was placed. Moreover, there were two types of graves in vogue at the time of the Prophet called Lahad and Shaqq(shiq).The Shaqq type of grave is characterized by a niche within the grave for the dead body and leaves no space for anyone to lie down. The Lahad form of grave is characterized by a lateral hollow that is dug into the side of the base of the grave for the body to be placed. This grave makes lying with the deceased body risky as the earth could cave in on top of the body and the one who is lying with the deceased.

Fair people, be it Hindus, Christians or Muslims should be wary of characters like Father Zakaria or Bharat Mahan blog. They need to discourage use of foul language and  misinformation with the objective of spreading hatred. If somebody who dislikes Islam or a supporter of such perpetuators of outrage and dishonesty, he should cross check the information presented and think reasonably. The Prophet did  what any loving and caring person would do i.e. focusing on the well being of his foster mother and aunt both in this world and the hereafter. This heartwarming story of compassion and love for one’s family member is now being hijacked by the debauched and hateful mind of a few who are motivated by hatred and destruction. Father Zakaria should be ashamed with himself. He has a poor reputation and is considered as attention seeker through controversies. He is seen as a man motivated by deviance and outright deception that extends to making up his own Biblical verses.(References can be made available on request)
