Hussain Tekri was developed as a large Dargah complex in  19th century by Nawab of Jaora Mohammad Iftikhar Ali Khan Bahadur. Since then, it has emerged as the most popular shrine among the devotees of Panjatan. It is famous for liberating those stricken with mental ailments. During the month of Muharram, thousands of people from all over the world visit these shrines. Visit to the shrine of Bibi Fatima remains a must on their itinerary, for they know without greetings her, their presence at other shrines won’t be accepted.

People who are mentally sick visit Hussain Tekri in large numbers to relieve themselves from being possessed by Jinns, Ghosts and Demons. It is believed that these demon creatures have long dialogue with the personalities in whose memory these shrines have been before leaving the bodies of the victims.(References available on request.
