Maula Ali'sTabut Procession by Anjuman-E-Rizviya-Kanpur

Anjuman-E-Rizviya Reciting Nauha in Kanpur

Dr.Mazhar Naqvi

“Jisko dekho Woh Mara Jata hai Jannat Ke liye
Jannat Jaise Kya Hui Male Ghaneemat  Ho Gayi”
Translation
“Everyone seems to be dying for Heaven
As if Heaven is booty for distribution”

This is how Anjuman Ghareeb- Ul- Aza exhorted Muslims to find the correct way for appeasing Allah and refrain themselves from joining those promising Heaven by carrying out terrorist attacks. Anjuman was reciting one of its favorite Nauhas in the Taboot procession taken out by Anjuman-E-Rizviya Kanpur to recall the martyrdom of Maula Ali in Patkapur late tonight. Reciting the Kalam of prominent Shair-e-Ahle bait, Janab Suroor Lucknow, Anjuman highlighted all the problems being faced by the world and  offered love for the progeny of Hazrat Muhammad as solution for world peace.
While paying glowing tributes to Maula-E-Kaynat, Anjuman also recalled the martyrdom of Imam Hussain and importance of Karbala in reestablishing the tenets of Islam. The following two couplet summed up the whole concept:
“Itni Unchai par le Aye Hussain Ibne Ali
Karbala se ane laga nazar Kaba dekho”
Translation
“Hussain, son of Ali,  attained so much height
From Karbala, now the holy Kaba is in sight”
Another couplet said
“Janibe Karbala dekho to Shukra ka sajda Karo
Jab  Kisi Masjid Mein Shaam ko Ujala Dekho
Translation
“Remember Karbala, bow your head with thanks and delight
Whenever you find in the evening any mosque with light”
Anjuman also did not forget to remember Mala Abbas, Hazrat Ali Akbar, Hazrat Qasim and Hazrat Ali Asghar on the occasion. In  praise of Hazrat Ali Asghar, Anjuman presented the following couplet :
“ Dil ParJab Se Asghar Ke Tabbassum Ki Hukumat Ho Gayi
Kaghzi Phoolon Se Duniya ko  Nafrat Ho Gayi”
Translation
“Ever since smile of Asghar has captured my heart
Ornamental flowers have in the world only label of discard”
Anjuman especially focused  on Janab –E-Hur and recited several couplets in his praise. This one was much appreciated by devotees:
“ Hur Jab Hurt ha,dil mein koi gunjaish na thi
Jab bana who Hazrat-E-Hur ToMohabbat Ho Gayi”
Translation
“No space was in my heart so long Hur remained Hur
But it filled with love when he became Hazrat-E-Hur”
Janab-E-Hur was in focus with a view to offering a message to the entire world that sectarian violence in Islamic countries will never come to an end so long as fanatics don’t dwell on the question what is right or what is wrong like Janab-E-Hur  and then change their mind and heart towards the right path despite extreme difficulties in treading upon it.

The procession began from Bagh Wali Masjid after a Majlis-e-Aza. Addressed by Maulana Aijaz Hasnain  from Varanasi, Majlis highlighted the virtues of Imam Ali and recalled his killing during the month of Ramadan by Abdul Rahman Ibne Muljim. Maulana also expressed concern over the attacks on mosques and emergence of terror outfits in Muslim nations. He urged the people to follow the teachings of  Imam Ali to give him a befitting tribute on his martyrdom. Maulana also described Imam Ali as the first victim of  state sponsored terrorism.
Anjuman Rizviya has been taking out procession to recall the martyrdom of Maula Ali for the past 75 years and it is considered to be one of the oldest and most popular tabut processions in Kanpur. This year Nawab Imtiaz , Mutwalli of Badi Karbala Nawabganj took much initiative to make the program successful.
